Zinc Dolly Tub Planter

Based on the iconic Dolly tubs used in Victorian wash houses, this large steel planter adds a touch of the traditional to any outdoor space. Suitable for direct planting or as a cover for large pots, the corrugated sidewalls give the tub exceptional strength.

Handmade with a vintage look, each planter is zinc plated then clear powder coated before receiving a final patina finish. A real statement piece to stand beside entranceways. Plant it up with a bay tree or similar and stand beside the front door for instant country house grandeur.

The welded tray base acts as a reservoir to keep plants healthy, while small gaps between the pleats allow excess water to spill over the sides of the tray. After periods of heavy rain, you can carefully tip the planter to empty out some water if needed.

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Please note: exact shape and finish may vary. Over time, the planter will develop some natural discolouration where the pleats meet the integrated saucer base. This is normal ageing and will not compromise the structural integrity of the pot.
